Centerville's 16th Annual Garage Sale Days will be held May 9 & 10, 2008.   MAPS ARE AVAILABLE at Corner Express, Center Mart and Main Street Bank or click here.  

 

Waste Management will be at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the 8th Annual Clean-Up Days.  A fee will be charged for most items.  Some electronics, fluorescent bulbs and tires, without rims, will be accepted for NO FEE, with limits per households.

NEW FOR THIS YEAR Shred-It will also be on site from 8 a.m.noon to shred your confidential, paper documents.  Shredding will be free for the first 5 boxes not exceeding 2 c.u. feet or the first 5, 30-gallon garbage bags.  Shred-It will also accept CDs, Diskettes, VCR Tapes & Microfiche.  Sorry No Businesses. 

Mr. Michael Recycles Bicycles (MMRB) is also back!  MMRB is a private company that gives away repaired bicycles for disadvantaged individuals or children who cannot afford to purchase them.  Also offered is basic instructions on bike operation, care & safety.  For more information and a copy of the Clean-Up Day Fees, click here. 

2009 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

The 2009 Street Project Public Hearing held on Thursday, May 1, 2008 will be rebroadcast on Cable Channel 16 beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday & Saturday and beginning at 2:00 on Monday, Wednesday & Friday through the month of May.  The Public Hearing is 2:48 hours.

 

The City Council Work Session which was scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, 2008 has been canceled and rescheduled for Wednesday, May 14th at 6:30 before the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting. 

 

Well Water Testing - During the week of May 5 – 9, 2008 the City will collect well water samples and deliver them to the Anoka County Offices on behalf of residents.  Water Test Kits are available at City Hall for pickup. Residents will need to follow the instructions and deliver water samples back to City Hall before noon on Tuesday, May 6th or before 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2008.  Cost for the testing will be $30.00 and payment needs to accompany the water sample. 

 

The City of Centerville will be Flushing Fire Hydrants the week of May 12 through May 16th.
